The setup installer of both 32bit (x86) and 64bit (x64) Office 2010 Technical Preview 1 (TP 1) has been leaked to BT network. The leaked Office 2010 Technical Preview 1 has the version of 14.0.4006.1010, a pre-trial version provided to premium Microsoft partners.

Itв s unclear whether it is the leaked Office 2010 TP1 build will be the version that is going to be released officially by Microsoft in July. And itвs still unclear yet whether Microsoft will make available publicly for Office 2010 Beta downloads, which is said to be will be having 2 betas - Beta 1 in July 2009 and another Beta 2 in November 2009. The betas is said to be different from Technical Preview, where TP is just meant as an engineering milestone for the development of Office 2010 and related products that leading to RTM that will reach in July 2009, according to Office 2010 IT Blog. Snoopers can't find or access the files you hide using Folder Lock, even in DOS or under other operating systems. This application provides two levels of protection: you can merely lock files and folders, or you can encrypt them using the 256-bit Blowfish algorithm. When you boot up the program, it'll ask you for a master password. Hitting the Browse link locates and lock folders anywhere on your computer, or you can simply secure them via the context menu. Encryption is limited in the free version to 25 MB.
Although the too-cute-for-words interface doesn't make them easy to find, Folder Lock does have a treasure trove of Advanced features, accessible after you hit the Options button. You can set files to be shredded, force the computer to shut down after failed entry attempts, erase document history, the clipboard and more, and enter into Stealth mode, which hides the app's presence on your computer.
The interface, which includes simple animations for no reason other than to "entertain" you, would be better served by a more standard layout that makes options readily and easily available. No doubt to excite your inner lock-breaking child, the octagonal purplish blue layout is supplemented with three more skins when you purchase the full version.
In our tests, the program demonstrated good speed, even when securing large folders. If you share a PC and need to keep certain files to yourself, you should definitely give Folder Lock a try.

In Grand Theft Auto 4 you take on the role of Niko Bellic, an immigrant from Eastern Europe with an ominous past. Persuaded by his cousin's promises of a fresh start and a better life, Niko relocates to Liberty City, USA -- the worst place in America. After making the move to Liberty, however, Niko quickly realizes that his hopes of "living the American Dream" may never come to pass... and that things here may not be so different after all.
Although Liberty City may not differ greatly from Niko's homeland, being different and standing out is definitely a major theme with Grand Theft Auto IV. While GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas were considered to be part of the GTA III trilogy (same graphics engine, similar characters, similar mission style, etc.), Grand Theft Auto IV is considered a fresh start for the GTA series, focusing more heavily on realism and storytelling than in previous titles. This is why it's been dubbed GTA4 and not GTA6 (as many had originally anticipated), even though it's the sixth major title in the series.
GTA IV follows the release of the hugely successful GTA: San Andreas (which was released for PlayStation 2 in 2004, and then later for PC and Xbox during 2005) and also marks the 10^th anniversary of the Grand Theft Auto franchise. With Grand Theft Auto 4 being the milestone that it is, Rockstar Games has been working overtime on perfecting the game. According to Janco Partners analyst Mike Hickey -- a financial consultant for Take2 Interactive -- approximately 150 developers worked on GTA 4.

GAMEPLAY

Niko can use a mobile phone to recieve calls and phone his contacts in order to arrange missions. He can also use it to call taxis and purchase weapons. The options presented on the phone's LCD are Phonebook, Messages, Organizer, and Camera. The phone can also be used to access multiplayer.

Pedestrians perform realistic actions. They smoke cigarettes, read books and newspapers, drop litter, talk on mobile phones, walk in and out of buildings, and generally act like any normal pedestrian in a real city would.

GTA IV features fifteen multiplayer modes, which can be accessed through the mobile phone. Multiplayer supports up to sixteen players, and the game modes include Deathmatch, Mafiya Work, Cops n' Crooks and Free Mode.

It is possible to surf the internet in GTA4 via internet cafés. It is available from any computer in the game, and provides a hub for all sorts of interactivity within Liberty City. There are over 100 in-game internet websites.

In GTA IV, you will gain a police wanted level for any crime that you commit, providing there are witnesses present. The police can only chase you if they know where you are, and they need to see you to know where you are. If you escape the search area marked on the radar without being spotted, your wanted level will disappear.

In terms of scale, GTA IV is about the same size as GTA: San Andreas, but the map size is considerably smaller. This is mainly due to the fact there is no desert or countryside in Liberty City. Liberty City in GTA4 is the biggest single city that R* have ever created.

In GTA IV, the line between on- and off-mission has been blurred, and the story is less linear. It is also possible to do more than one mission at a time. For example, some missions take place over several days and may involve waiting for phonecalls or attending interviews, and you are free to carry out other business during the waiting period.

The story can be told in a number of different ways. Rockstar are trying to give people greater freedom and sense of control over their destiny. You now have a lot more choice in what you want to do.

Niko has the ability to climb and descend telephone poles, and exterior fire escapes.

Every street in Liberty City contains a street sign with a name on it.

Cars feature GPS navigation systems, which identify the best routes to take during missions, and highlight them on the radar.

Developing relationships with characters is an important aspect of the gameplay. Maintaining good relationships will provide different rewards to Niko. Niko can socialise with other characters in order to maintain a good relationship, for example they can go bowling together, they can go to the cabaret, go to comedy clubs, and go drinking together.

INSTANTANEOUS PAUSING

“Is this even a feature?”, say ex-vlc fanboys who have ported over to other media players. In fact, this is one of the many features that has been requested for such a long time. Instantaneous Pausing allows a user to pause any video the moment he/she hits the pause button, no more delays. It pauses at the exact frame(without skipping) which is quite impressive.

LIVE RECORDING

Yup, you heard it right. The latest version now supports on-the-fly recording for all type of medias. In case you are wondering how to make recording easier, go to View menu and hit Advanced Controls. You will now see a Record button next to control buttons.

FRAME BY FRAME PLAYBACK

So you are watching a superhero movie with your friends and a huge explosion goes off. To enjoy it once again, you can now go over it frame-by frame with the frame by frame playback functionality. When you enable advanced controls from the View menu, apart from Record, Snapshot, and Loop buttons, you will find the Frame-by-Frame Playback button. Clicking it once will move your video to the next frame, pressing it again will move it to another frame ahead and so on.

Before VLC 1.0, if you had to take a snapshot of any part of the video the quickest way would be to hit snapshot button at the right time during the video. If you don’t get lucky, an alternative way is to try hitting the Pause button which will actually pause the video after missing few seconds. Frame by frame playback makes tasks such as snapshot much more easier.

CUSTOMIZABLE INTERFACE

So you don’t like the look, right? No problem, now you can customize the interface according to your own styles and needs. Simply head over to the View menu and hit Customize Interface. Now go ahead and select the buttons that you want, the position at which you want them, and much more. There are also some pre-configured Profiles that you might want to try out.

AIRTUNES STREAMING

For those who don’t know what is Airtunes streaming, it is a functionality for Apple’s Airport Express that allows you to play media files on your home stereo speakers. Originally it was developed to work with iTunes but now VLC has officially added the support for AirTunes streaming as well.

If you have Apple’s Airport Express properly installed, all you need to do is to load up your favorite media file on VLC Media Player, head over to the playlist, right-click the media file and hit Stream. Ofcourse you will need to tweak some basic settings later, but it works flawlessly.

FULL SCREEN INTERFACE/MINIMAL VIEW & BETTER VIDEO SCALING

Microsoft on Monday released a near-final "release candidate" version of Internet Explorer 8, the next version of its Web browser.

The software maker plans to say more on its Web site around noon, but, as noted by enthusiast site Neowin, the code is already available from Microsoft's download center.

Among the new features in IE 8 is a browsing mode known as InPrivate, designed not to leave fingerprints on a PC.

With IE 8, Microsoft is hoping to regain some lost ground by adding features such as private browsing, improved security, and a new type of add-ons, called accelerators.

On the security front, Microsoft is adding a cross-site scripting filter, as well as protections against a type of attack known as clickjacking.

In an interview, IE General Manager Dean Hachamovitch said there will be little change between the release candidate and the final version, though he declined to say when the final version will be released.

"The ecosystem should expect the final candidate to behave like the release candidate," Hachamovitch said.

Internet Explorer 8 will work with Windows XP (Service Pack 2 or later) and Windows Vista. A version of IE 8 is also being built into Windows 7.

However, the IE code in Windows 7 is a pre-release candidate version.

"Windows 7 enables unique features and functionality in Internet Explorer 8 including Windows Touch and Jump Lists which require additional product tests to ensure we are providing the best Windows experience for our customers," the software maker said in a statement. "Microsoft will continue to update the version of Internet Explorer 8 running on Windows 7 as the development cycles of Windows 7 progress."
